Traditional neon is hand-bent glass tubing filled with neon or argon gas and ignited by a high-voltage transformer. It's gorgeous, but it's fragile, runs hot, hums audibly, draws significant power, and breaks if knocked. LED neon flex is a silicone-encased LED strip that mimics the look of glass neon — same glow, same color saturation — but with none of the downsides. It runs on a low-voltage 12V wall plug, draws a fraction of the power, never breaks, never gets hot, and can be cut, shaped, and customized with far more flexibility than glass. For 95% of customers, LED neon is the better choice; if you specifically need the look of vintage hand-bent glass for a historic restoration, we still do that too.
The biggest categories we fabricate are: (1) business signs and logos — bar and restaurant branding, retail storefront accents, salon and tattoo studio signage; (2) wedding and event signs — custom names, dates, and phrases for receptions and photo backdrops, often a treasured keepsake after the event; (3) personalized home decor — bedroom and bar phrases, kids' names, sports team callouts, and custom wall art; (4) corporate branding — office lobby logos, conference room accent lighting, and event-booth signage for trade shows. Every order is custom — there's no catalog of pre-made shapes to pick from.
Our standard LED neon flex comes in 12 saturated colors plus warm and cool white. RGB color-changing flex is available for signs that need to shift through the spectrum or coordinate with mood lighting — controllable from a remote or a phone app. Sizing: most personal neon signs are 18 to 36 inches wide; bar and restaurant signs typically 36 to 72 inches; wall-spanning installs go up to 8+ feet. Effects: we can add dimmer controls, animated chase patterns, fade-on/fade-off, and sound-reactive modes for entertainment venues.
Most custom neon signs ship within 10–14 business days from approved design. Rush orders (5–7 days) are available for an upcharge. Pricing depends on the linear footage of neon flex and the size of the acrylic backboard — most personal signs run $150–$400, business signs $300–$1,200, and large wall installations $1,500+.
